    PANEL DISCUSSION:

This session shifts the focus from preventing daily cyber attacks to surviving a massive, worst-case scenario that knocks out major financial services. The reality is that the UK financial system is under intense pressure; a recent survey revealed that 82% of UK financial institutions now rank cyber attacks as a top-five risk to the entire industry (Bank of England, 2026). Because a successful attack is practically inevitable, regulators and boards are changing how they define "success." This panel looks at how UK banks and financial firms need to adapt their core strategy to withstand an AI-driven attack, recover rapidly, and protect the wider British economy.

    PANEL:

This session cuts straight to one of the biggest daily headaches for any modern security leader: the battle between keeping the business secure and keeping it moving. The argument here is that heavy-handed security is actually making enterprises less safe because rigid controls force employees to find dangerous workarounds just to do their jobs. In fact, a recent global study found that 74% of employees are willing to bypass corporate security protocols if it helps them hit a critical deadline or complete an urgent task (Gartner, 2025). With the rapid adoption of generative AI tools adding massive new risks to this equation, this panel shifts the conversation entirely. Instead of treating the workforce like a threat vector, it looks at how leaders can actively remove friction to build genuine, built-in organisational trust.
