Nick has over 20 years operational experience delivering critical technological infrastructure. As IBM Risk and Intelligence Leader from 2010-2020, he lead AI and Cyber Security programmes across 170 countries including building IBM's first Global Cloud Platform. In 2020, Nick was appointed Chief Security Officer for Mastercard with responsibility each year for the cyber and physical security of over 5 billion real time payments. Prior to joining IBM, Nick served as the UK's National Reviewer of Security in the Cabinet Office, including authoring the 'Coleman Report' on how effective the UK Government is at protecting government assets and data in the UK and around the world against current and emerging threats. He has also been a member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council for Cybersecurity and an advisor to the European Union Security Agency. Nick holds an MBA with distinction from the Manchester Business School. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Chartered Institute of Information Security. Nick has presented to Governments, Universities and Companies in all five continents. Recent consulting engagements include being a Senior Strategy Advisor to Ofcom and advisor on technology governance to the eGov Foundation, the leading creator of Digital Public Infrastructure in India and Africa.
