Mike Heritage is a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over two decades of experience in both law enforcement and the private sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Cyber Security at the Financial Times and its affiliates, Mike is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the organisation's digital infrastructure.


Under his leadership, Mike's team oversees all aspects of cyber security, including cyber operations, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), cyber consultancy, and engineering. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge to his role, helping to ensure that the Financial Times remains at the forefront of cybersecurity best practices.


Mike's impressive career began in law enforcement, where he specialised in computer forensics while working for Thames Valley Police and the Metropolitan Police Central eCrime Unit. He was also a founding member of the National Crime Agency, where he played a critical role in establishing the investigative computer forensic teams of the National Cyber Crime Unit.


In the private sector, Mike has held various leadership positions, including Director of Advanced Threat Investigations at CGI, where he helped to develop and implement cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions for clients. He also served as the Head of UK Cyber Defence at Vodafone and as the Head of Information Security at Very, a leading online retailer and bank.
