With more than 25 years of experience in Information Security and IT Risk Management mainly in the Financial Services sector, Iwona has a proven track record of success.
Over her career, she has transitioned from roles like Security Consultant, Auditor, and Risk Manager to Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO). Through these diverse positions, Iwona has mastered the ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear business terms and align technical requirements with business needs.Her extensive international experience across Europe and worldwide has given her a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, which she leverages to improve global collaboration and project delivery.
Iwona excels at building initiatives from the ground up ("green fields") and consistently delivers on her promises by mobilising teams and motivating stakeholders. She balances deep analytical capacity with a global, long-term strategic vision, focusing on transforming high-level goals into pragmatic, compliant deliverables.
As an independent member of a public administration’s Audit Committee, Iwona helps safeguard the independence of the Internal Audit organisation. Her deep subject matter expertise in Information Security, Business Continuity, Data Privacy, and Risk Management allows her to constructively challenge internal reporting and bring private-sector efficiencies to the public sector.
Through her European Women on Board membership, Iwona aims to drive diversity on Boards and Committees, advocating for broader representation across gender, age, ethnicity, and technical expertise. She strongly believes that mentoring, coaching, and education are vital to achieving this progress.
Outside of work, Iwona recharges by spending time in nature. During the winter, she channels her creativity into crafting seasonal decorations and clothing, hobbies that help free her mind and spark new ideas.
