Greg is currently the Group Head of Cyber Security for Drax Group PLC, which is the UK’s largest renewable energy generator and has been with them since April 2022
Prior to joining Drax Greg worked for KPMG as an Associate Director within Consulting, where he worked with a large number of blue chip clients across both public and private sectors both in the UK and globally. His last focus area was an engagement with a large public sector client in the Middle East with responsibility for designing and operationalising an internal audit function responsible for an organisation with a $65Bn budget and over 500,000 people.
Preceding to his work at KPMG Greg worked as an independent consultant for the UK MoD’s Defence Digital (previously Information Systems Services) where he was the Programme Information Assurance Lead for a large IT transformation project, where he was responsible for the design and delivery of high grade cryptographic networks, and various other workstreams in the operational space.
Greg spent 25 years within the British Army where he learnt his trade in InfoSec and Cyber and deployed globally on many occasions delivering bespoke solutions to various operational theatres.
Out of the work environment Greg is an avid Sheffield Wednesday fan (he knows what pain feels like) but spends most of his time acting as a taxi driver to his son (who is in the football academy system) and enjoys a pint or 2 of real ale and a few G&Ts.
