Danny Bisaerts is Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Flemish Parliament, holding end-to-end responsibility for the organisation's information security policy. He chairs the Information Security Management Committee and leads the strategic "Information Security Policy Plan" alongside the "AI Policy Plan".

His work ensures compliance with NIS2, GDPR, the EU AI Act, and the CyberFundamentals (CyFun) framework, spanning enterprise risk management via a GRC platform, incident response, business continuity, security awareness, and Identity & Access Management across the Flemish Parliament.

With 20+ years in IT security and 15+ years in IAM, Danny combines C-level governance with hands-on technical expertise. He is also an active speaker on cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and identity security.
